Abdul Aleem Khan,son of Mr. Abdul Rahim Khan, was born on March 5, 1972 in Lahore. His primary education was from Crescent Model School, Shadman, Lahore. Later in 1992 he graduated with a Bachelors degree from Government College, Lahore.

He began his political career by joining Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and was Vice Party President of Punjab and also served as a finance secretary. He contested his first major election in the 2002 General Elections from NA-127. He later won the by-election in PP-147 in 2003 and took oath as Minister for Information technology on November 24, 2003. This being a new created department then, Abdul Aleem Khan is accredited for bringing about a revolutionary change in the sector by establishing IT labs in schools and colleges of the public sector in Punjab.
From day one Abdul Aleem Khan took part in welfare activities with the political platform. Abdul Aleem Khan not only contributed to the welfare of the constituency he was elected from but has been involved in the welfare of masses across the province. He provided from his own pocket to the needy for medical, financial and other assistance. He established the Aleem Khan Foundation in 2010 which has been continuously contributing to the welfare of the people since then.
Abdul Aleem Khan worked diligently alongside Imran Khan for flood and earthquake relief activities. He officially joined Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf on January 12 2012, in Lahore, in the presence of Imran Khan. This was considered a landmark event in the political scenario of Punjab.
