He was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from Constituency NA-41 (Tribal Area-II) in Pakistani general election, 2018. He received 22,730 votes and defeated an independent candidate, Qari Abdul Majeed.
