Usman Buzdar who was born into a political background is a member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and is the newly appointed CM of Punjab. Before that he also served as the District Nazim for many years and joined PTI a few years ago.

Usman Buzdar is the member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and is the son of Sardar Fateh Muhammad Buzdagr who also remained the MPA for the three times. He belongs to a political background and was born in May 1969 and is the eldest son. His father Sardar Fateh Muhammad was the tribal head of ‘Buzdar’ which is a Baloch tribe mainly settled in Dera Ghazi Khan. He is married and has 3 daughters.

In spite of living in a district where the literacy rate is very low, he still managed to complete his masters in political science from Multan’s top university Bahauddin Zikriya. He did his bachelors in LLB from Law college Multan while he completed his Intermediate from a government college.

Political Career
Usman Buzdar political career started in 2001 when he joined Pakistan Muslim League Q and served as a District Nazim of Taunsa Sharif. He served as a district Nazim from August 2001 to 2008. After 2008 General Elections he quit PML Q but according to some sources, he remained politically affiliated with the party. Before 2013 General Elections he joined Pakistan Muslim League N and contested the 2013 general elections from Provincial Assemby but unfortunately, he lost the seat to Khawaja Muhammad Nizam-ul-Mehmood. Before the 2018 General Elections, he joined the other party named as Janoobi Punjab Suba Mahaz which later merged into Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

CM of Punjab

After winning the 2018 General Elections from PP 286 Dera Ghazi Khan by securing 26897 votes he was nominated for the CM of Punjab by Imran Khan. On 19th August 2018, he has officially become the CM of Punjab by giving defeat to his opponent Hamza Shahbaz Sharif by securing 186 votes. According to the latest video of Imran Khan, the reason behind choosing Usman Buzdar is that he is the only PM who even doesn’t have electricity in his house and he belongs to a very poor district so he can better manage it.
